Coronavirus, Curbside Service, and Remote Control
In consideration of concerns about the Coronavirus, I have suspended HouseCall visits for the foreseeable future, and upgraded my remote control capability and curbside services. This will allow me to work on client computers remotely from my office computer, and arrange for curbside pick-up or drop off services when working on a computer directly is warranted. The new remote control tool is more secure and easier to download and install, and will replace the old one, which will no longer work.
When direct physical service and transfer of computers and related hardware is necessary, we have developed a sanitary no-contact system for dropping off and picking up hardware at my office, and can arrange for pick-up and drop-off curbside at your place. Please contact me for details. Stay safe!
New Labor Rate
For many years, I have strived to keep my labor rates low enough that those with fixed and limited incomes still could afford my services. In response to various increases in the cost of doing business, including the logistical challenges of doing any kind of support service these days, and with the encouragement of many of my clients, I have raised my standard labor rate to $80 per hour, with a discounted rate of $60 per hour for seniors and people with disabilities.
